FAQs

  • Why did you create the Ultimate Student Survival Guide?

After many years on social media, I saw the same frustrations and stressors from students that I faced when I was in their shoes. I knew what it was like to feel alone, overwhelmed and burnt out. That is why I started sharing on social media, because I didnt want anyone to be able to relate to the not-so-good stories of PT school. I finally found a place where I can put ALL of those stories, resources and tips so theres no more googling or searching around. It is ALL right here.

  • Who is the Ultimate Student Survival Guide for?

While the primary use of the guide is for students navigating through their PT journey whether they are about to start a program or are halfway through, the guide is beneficial to ANYONE.

  • If I'm a 3rd year about to graduate, can I still benefit from this?

Of course! The topics covered can be applied to soon to be new grads or even DPTs a few years out. There are principles that can be rediscovered and reapplied if you are ever confronting feelings of burnout, imposter syndrome, overwhelm, etc. And of course, it never hurts to have an updated resume and make sure your job searching skills are top notch!

  • What is included in the Ultimate Student Survival Guide?

Not only is there several hours of video content, there are many downloadable resources, tip sheets, templates that accompany them. There is also a private facebook group where you can ask anything and everything (including job offers and other prep) so we can all rely on each other. Once you complete going through the guide, you will also have an option to sign up for a 1:1 call with me! Once you sign up, you have LIFETIME access. That means anytime something is updated or new lessons or files are added, you see them right away.

  • Is this... everything?

Because students have lifetime access, the guide will be constantly updated as time goes on with new topics or improved topics to the ones already included. After initial launch, new modules will be added over the following several weeks.

Whether you are looking for community, additional support outside of your cohort, tips and resources to ensure success as you make your way through school, the Ultimate Student Survival Guide has a lifetime worth of access with everything you need in ONE spot.

Bonus Material

  • Private community

After signing up for the guide, you will get access to the private facebook group. This is a place where we can come together to get advice from me, Steph, or other students in similar positions, facing conflict or difficulties, or if you're looking for opinions on your new job offer.

  • Lifetime Access

The guide is going to be updated almost every month, whether that means an update to a current section or adding new material. You have lifetime access meaning you will have access to any and everything that gets posted.

  • 1:1 Call

The guide is interactive and is like a friendly FaceTime with all of that big sis advice. Also included upon completion of the guide, you will have the opportunity to sign up for a 1:1 call to discuss any topic of your choosing.

See what everyone is saying...

“Thank you SO much for these videos. Its super encouraging to hear advice from someone who has been through it. I can fall victim to comparing myself, especially because undergrad instilled competitiveness in me to get into grad school against my peers.”

Anna

“I greatly appreciate all of the content that has been put out about job hunting and negotiating salary, especially for new grads. I negotiated a $5k increase today (it was extremely easy) and the company owner literally told me he expected me to do that and would have been disappointed if I hadn't. ”

Matthew

“I was so incredibly for my interviews but I just heard back that I got the job AND they accepted my counter offer! I used all of your tips, I'm so excited!!! ”

Sarah

“I appreciate you so, so much! I used your series for job searching and low key it helped me a ton!! I never would have imagined multiple job offers that were willing to wait and your series really opened my eyes to what I deserve.”

Charles

“Truly the best investment I made (maybe only second to my prep course lol)”

Hannah

“Hi! I used your sheets as references to "overshoot" salaries and literally am getting offered so much more than I ever expected to make!!! Thank you!!”

Pat

“The offer I originally received was $80k, I checked in with you and the data so I negotiated and then they offered me $92k!!! I wasnt ready for that hahah”

Cris

“SOOO thankful for your resources. They truly got me through PT school and I just accepted a position for after I graduate... $80k with a $10k sign on bonus!! Some PTs laughed when I said I wouldnt accept less than that, but theyre also the ones making $60k after 2-4 years. I KNOW MY WORTH!”

Steph, Instructor

Hi! Welcome to the Ultimate Student Survival Guide. I am SO excited you are here. I graduated PT school in 2019 and faced all of the wild emotions of burnout, especially after my first year. Since creating and growing a platform on social media, I realized how much I enjoyed discussing my SPT to DPT journey, helping others with tips and strategies I wish I knew when I was a student. I have shared my struggles, challenges and opened up avenues for students to lean on each other so they can realize they are not alone. There is a reason almost all of my posts related to these hardships blow up because we have ALL been there at some point. After years of feedback, comments and DMs, I decided to create something where students can find ALL of the tips and things they need to be successful from day 1 of PT school to day 1 of their first job.
